Think Before You Drink

Comments Off

Driving requires focus, concentration, and a lot of common sense. When you drink alcohol or use drugs and drive, you are endangering your life as well as the lives of your passengers and other motorists. Drivers between the ages of 16 and 20 are typically the least experienced drivers on the road, and when alcohol is added to their inexperience, the results can be even more deadly.

Each year, thousands of people are killed or permanently disabled because someone drove while intoxicated after consuming alcohol or other chemical substances. In 1989, the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) aired its first commercial. This video contains images that may be disturbing to some, but is one of the most realistic videos I have seen. Since we care about you and your families we wanted to share it with you.

Take a strong stand against drivers who drink or take drugs and drive. Protect yourself and others. If you observe a dangerous situation, put as much distance as possible between yourself and the suspected drunk driver. Get an accurate description of the vehicle and license plate number, and call 911 for police help.
